- RE developer Anesco has put 56MWp solar PV online on behalf of Shell.
Anesco Ltd, UK’s renewable energy developer, has put 56MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity on behalf of Shell Renewables and Energy Solutions in the Netherlands. According to Anesco, three solar plants have started generating power for the energy subsidiary of oil and gas major Royal Dutch Shell Plc.
The UK firm installed a 12MWp system in a former gasworks area in Emmen, in the northeastern province of Drenthe. It constructed another facility of 14MWp for Shell in the town of Heerenveen, province of Friesland. The third and largest array is a 30MWp plant located on a former industrial site in Sas Van Gent, Zeeland province.
Anesco has developed over 100 solar and 30 battery storage projects since it was set up in 2010. The British firm is currently responsible for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of more than 24,000 renewable energy plants. It will also oversee the operations of the three plants.
