In line with the evolution of its now Franco-German governance, its growth and its new projects, ARMOR solar power films is changing its name to ASCA. A company of ARMOR Group, the world leader in organic photovoltaics (OPV) offers aesthetic custom-made solar solutions that are transparent, lightweight and low-carbon. This name change will be effective in the upcoming weeks.
The ASCA experts include around 50 people of ten different nationalities, divided between France and Germany, under the management of Ralph Paetzold, who has been appointed
Managing Director of this ARMOR company in June 2021. Willing to put its know-how in chemical formulation and high-precision coating to support the energy transition, ARMOR
launched its solar activity in 2010. Over the past 11 years, the company has invested several tens of millions of euros in OPV and is planning new investments in the next few years in the same proportions, particularly for large-scale projects incorporating custom-made solar solutions.
Ralph Paetzold, ASCA’s CEO comments: “With the ASCA® OPV films, we have developed a smart, custom-made solar solution that combines aesthetics and renewable energy. Our OPV
technology is able to solarize all existing surfaces thanks to its design integration, allowing us to bring our customers’ most creative ideas to life. This change of name is part of a desire to strengthen our identity and the ASCA® brand within our communication, and to make our statements simpler and more visible by capitalizing on a single name. This choice is also in
line with the dynamics influenced by the new Franco-German governance with a customer-oriented vision.”
