Benin DisCo begins meter roll-out
- To distribute 90,870 meters to customers
- The distribution covers three states within the coverage area
The Management of Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) has begun the distribution of meters under the National Mass Metering Program (NMMP). Mr. Tayo Adekunle, the Head, Public Affairs, acknowledged receipt of the meters by BEDC under the mass metering program. A total of 90, 870 meters will be distributed to customers of BEDC.
Mr. Adekunle further acknowledged that the meters are free of charge and will be at no cost to the consumers. Speaking on the payments made by consumers through the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) regulation, Mr. Adekunle assured that the consumers will be refunded.
The meters will be distributed to customers within the coverage area of BEDC. Benin DisCo covers four states which include Edo, Ondo, Delta, and Ekiti.
