Bosnia’s Canton 10 Govt to Award Power Plants Project

  • The award is aimed at constructing wind power plants with a total installed capacity of 264 MW

The government of Bosnia’s Canton 10 revealed it has decided to award a concession to local Vjetroelektrane Dah Planine (VDP), a subsidiary of German renewable energy company wpd. The award aims to construct wind power plants with a total installed capacity of 264 MW. 

Vjetroelektrane Dah Planine will construct the 138 MW wind park Cadilj in the municipality of Glamoc, according to the government. It will also build the Marino Brdo wind park in Bosansjo Grahovo, which has an installed capacity of 126 MW. 

Wpd, located in Bremen, develops and operates onshore and offshore wind farms and solar parks. The company has a presence in 28 countries around the world. 

Canton 10 is one of 10 cantons of the Federation, one of two constituent entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serb Republic is the other entity.
