- Botswana is looking to develop its e-mobility sector.
The Government of Botswana, through the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), has announced an expression of interest (EOI) for the manufacture of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country. The EOI calls for “local and international companies with a track record and relevant experience to express their interest in manufacturing the Electric Vehicles (EVS) and related components in Botswana.”

The government plans to partner with a company that will manufacture EVs and related components in Botswana to supply locally manufactured EVS for the local and regional markets.
