BYD hit another production milestone in October after delivering more than 217,816 EVs during the month, resulting in a significant jump of 169% increase in year-on-year production. This win comes after eight straight months of production growth, making BYD the world’s largest NEV (New Energy Vehicles) manufacturer.
BYD has expanded into Australia, New Zealand, Europe and many other parts of the world this year, positioning it as a 100% BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles) global player. They produced 217,816 vehicles, a rise of 169% compared to October 2021. With deliveries now spanning multiple continents, including Australia, the scale of BYD’s production capabilities is only just beginning to be understood.
BYD has grown their passenger vehicle production by nearly ten folds since Q1 2021. With new production figures for export markets approaching a new high of 9,529 NEVs for the month, this trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Australia has been waiting for affordable ground-up EVs for years, and BYD is Australia’s second-best-selling EV brand for October, behind only Tesla.
