Cameroun’s  Minister of Water and Energy (MINEE) Gaston Eloundou Essombs said the ongoing 225kV Nyabizan-Yaoundé electricity transmission line project would be completed in September 2021.

Essomba explained that so far, 265km out of 270km has been constructed. When completed, the line would help Cameroun save a substantial amount of money currently used in the procurement of fuel. The transmission line is part of the Memve’ele Hydroelectric power plant project, which is located on the Ntem River in the southern region of Cameroun.
