Canadian Solar Gives Recurrent Energy Global Umbrella

Canadian Solar Inc. stated that the Recurrent Energy brand will henceforth be used by the group’s development and servicing divisions.

The manufacturer of solar panels announced in a statement that it is changing the name of its fully owned subsidiary, Global Energy, to Recurrent Energy. The utility-scale solar and energy storage development division of Canadian Solar in North America was previously known as Recurrent Energy.

Recurrent Energy is now able to claim its position as one of the biggest and most globally diversified utility-scale solar and storage development platforms in the world thanks to the company’s decision. It has 25 GWp of solar and 47 GWh of battery storage projects in development, including 14 GW and 12 GWh, respectively, that have interconnections already set up.

At the same time, around 6 GW of assets are being operated and maintained by Recurrent Energy’s services division.
