The Cities of Cape Town and Johannesburg are experiencing unscheduled blackouts due to Eskom’s load shedding. According to power experts, the cause of the load shedding is due to Eskom’s overhead line fault.
Over in Johannesburg, City Power said they’d recorded outages across Randburg and Hursthill. A statement noted by the spokesperson Isaac Mangena said that while cable theft and faults have contributed to the outages, the rolling blackouts are worsening the energy crisis.
