Cenfura has partnered with DNA Global Energy to construct mini-grids in South Africa. The two companies have formed a joint venture which will build 14 renewable energy mini-grids powered. Cenfura has already deployed some mini-grids in South Africa. The Company recently completed installing an off-grid solar plus storage system in the Malachite Mews community in the Gauteng Province. Cenfura says that the system would reduce carbon emissions by 70 per cent from 1.2 million tonnes per year to 360,000 tonnes per year.
The joint venture will integrate Cenfura‘s business model. Consumers will pay for the electricity supplied by the mini-grids via Cenfura platform’s XCF Token digital asset. The platform is based on blockchain technology that allows for the storing and transmitting of data and information without a controller.
According to Cenfura, “given its operational success in this area, this joint venture is a logical step in the company’s growth in the region. Each facility acquired or created will be equipped with Cenfura’s XCF utility cryptography, enabling new methods of billing and financial management for a more efficient and effective business system.”
According to Cenfura, its cryptographic system offers a “unique” fintech solution to the joint venture. The token can be bought on the open market via the ‘Liquid Exchange’.
