The Changan Thailand new energy vehicle expansion continues to reshape Thailand’s electric mobility landscape as Changan unveiled a full range of new energy vehicles at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2025. The presentation showcased premium models from AVATR and CHANGAN DEEPAL. It also highlighted Changan’s commitment to delivering intelligent mobility solutions. The event showed how the Changan Thailand new energy vehicle expansion supports the country’s rapid shift to cleaner transport.
Changan showcased its complete range at IMPACT Challenger Hall from November 29 to December 10. The company aimed to demonstrate its design capabilities, engineering strength and long-term commitment to Thai consumers. This approach aligns with Thailand’s strong push towards electrification.
AVATR drew significant attention with the launch of the AVATR 07. The model blends elegant styling with refined comfort and impressive performance. A European-led design team created a quiet, premium cabin offering multi-sensory immersion. The AVATR 07 achieves 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It uses adaptive air suspension and advanced driver-assistance technology to deliver stable and confident handling.
CHANGAN DEEPAL also continued to gain momentum in Thailand. The DEEPAL S05, the first made-in-Thailand new energy vehicle from the company, ranked first in new energy sport utility vehicle registrations for two consecutive months earlier in 2025. Responding to growing demand, Changan introduced the S05 Max Long Range. The model features an all-black interior and exterior, a 68.82 kWh battery offering a 560 km NEDC range, and a 200 kW motor capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.48 seconds.
Thailand plays an increasingly strategic role in Changan’s global expansion. The company follows an “In Thailand, For Thailand” strategy that strengthens local manufacturing, marketing, sales and service. In May 2025, Changan opened its first overseas new energy vehicle plant in Rayong. The plant employs over 1,000 Thai workers and achieves approximately 60% local content. The company later hosted its first Service Skills Competition in Bangkok to reinforce its commitment to after-sales excellence.
Changan aims to introduce seven new models in Thailand within three years. It also plans to launch more than 50 new energy vehicles globally within the next five years. This long-term plan supports the rise of AVATR and CHANGAN DEEPAL as global leaders in intelligent and new energy mobility.
