Nigeria’s Environment Minister, Balarabe Lawal, emphasized fair collaboration at the ongoing climate conference (COP28) in Dubai. He insisted that developing nations shouldn’t bear an unfair burden. Lawal pointed out Nigeria’s absence at the World Climate Action Summit and stressed the need to avoid pressuring developing countries solely.

He insisted that those benefiting most must invest significantly in fixing global environmental damage. Nigeria committed to cutting emissions through cleaner energy and urged developed nations to fulfil their promise of providing essential technology for climate change mitigation.
