UAE Firm Expands Presence in Africa with Key Role in Senegal’s Electrification Project

Ducab Group, a leading UAE-based manufacturer and end-to-end solutions provider, has enhanced its African presence by delivering its first 220kV high-voltage (HV) cables to Senegal. This delivery is integral to the capital Dakar’s electrification project, which is focused on modernising the city’s power infrastructure to meet growing energy demands.

The project is crucial to Senegal’s goal of providing universal electricity access by 2026. It will significantly boost Dakar’s energy capacity and support urban development. Ducab’s involvement underscores the company’s commitment to advancing energy infrastructure across Africa as the region experiences rapid growth and increased demand for reliable power solutions.

With this delivery to Senegal, Ducab continues its expansion strategy in Africa, where the company already serves 23 countries, including Angola, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Egypt. Operating in 75 global markets, Ducab’s growing footprint in Africa reflects its dedication to supporting vital infrastructure projects across the continent.
