- EDFENA takes 160 MW solar plant in Texas.
- EDFENA will receive electricity from the Concho Valley photovoltaic (PV) project operated by Komipo America.
A 160 MW solar plant in Texas will have its electricity taken by EDF Energy North America (EDFENA), which will then supply it to a western Texas industrial end-user.
The power purchase agreement (PPA), which facilitated the transaction, was announced by AB Power Advisors LLC. According to the agreement, EDFENA will receive electricity from the Concho Valley photovoltaic (PV) project operated by Komipo America Inc., a subsidiary of South Korean energy supplier Korea Midland Power Co Ltd., as well as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and associated environmental benefits.
Ten years will pass before the PPA expires. It requires EDFENA, which acts as a retail energy provider for its client in West Texas, to send electricity to the infrastructure for processing natural gas (REP).
In Tom Green County, Texas, Concho Valley park is now being built; it will open to the public in September.
