- Egypt reviews interconnection agreement with Saudi Arabia
- To collaborate with the IsDB on further developmental projects
Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Rania el Mashat has reviewed the status of the electricity interconnection project between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The project is among a list of projects co-financed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The project seeks to improve the performance and stability of electricity networks in the two countries with a combined capacity of at least 90,000MW.
In a meeting with the Regional Manager of the Islamic Development Bank’s Regional Hub in Cairo, May Ali Babiker, Mashat stated that she is confident, the relations between Egypt and the IsDB would ensure further development and growth of the country. Both parties also discussed further partnerships in the economic and social development sectors.
