- To speed up implementation of power projects in Sinai
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had directed the speedy implementation of the power projects in Sinai. The project aims to connect the electricity network in Sinai to the Egyptian Electrical Unified Network (EEUN) to meet the needs of the integrated national project for the development of Sinai. President El Sisi met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker on Tuesday.
El Sisi also discussed the status of the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant following the recent visit of the Energy Minister Shaker to Russia to inspect the production lines and heavy equipment for the nuclear plant. The meeting also followed up the upgrade of existing electricity infrastructure within the framework of the first phase of the national project to improve the quality of life in the countryside.
