Mitsubishi signs gas turbine deal with Egypt
- To deliver six gas turbines
- The expected total output of turbines stands at 750MW
The Japanese subsidiary, Mitsubishi Power, has signed a 16-year Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) to supply six M701F gas turbines. Sidi Krir Power Station, El Atf Power Station and Cairo North GTCC plants in Egypt are the beneficiaries of the agreement. The turbines will deliver a combined output of 750MW. The signing ceremony was held at the Sidi Krir Power Station.
In attendance at the ceremony were representatives from Mitsubishi power and Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) and other dignitaries. Carlos Gonzalez Peton, CEO of Mitsubishi Power Europe, while at the event stated that ”…with the conclusion of this 16-year LTSA, we will be able to continue to provide our customers, in Egypt, with optimal responsive services, and by doing so we look forward to further enhancing our ties of friendship”.
