Egypt’s President has instructed the state to develop national renewable energy programs to maximize the value of renewable energy to diversify the country’s energy supply, including the expansion of wind energy through high-production units to generate electricity.
This was revealed during Sisi’s meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Mohamed Shaker, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy. According to Egyptian presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady, the meeting evaluated projects from the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity across the country.
