- President El Sisi approves electric infrastructure project in New Delta
- Receives status report on interconnection projects
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has approved the construction of modern electrical infrastructure in the New Delta area. The project will deploy advanced techniques to meet increases in electrical loads in the future. In a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Electricity Minister Mohamed El Shaker, President El Sisi acknowledged the importance of development projects in the sector and the need for the operationality of these projects.
Energy Minister Shaker further briefed President El Sisi on the interconnection projects with various countries, including Libya, Greece, Cyprus, Iraq, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
