At the Gastech Exhibition and Conference 2025 in Milan, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi stepped up efforts to attract foreign investment and reinforce Egypt’s standing as a regional energy hub.
Badawi met with Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, and discussed expanding cooperation in exploration and production projects while scaling up activities in natural gas and new energies.
He also met with Musabbeh Al Kaabi, CEO of Upstream at ADNOC Group, and reviewed ADNOC and bp’s new joint venture, Arcius Energy. The venture aims to double production within five to seven years and rank among the top five gas producers in Egypt.
These meetings highlight Egypt’s drive to deepen global partnerships and secure investment to fuel long-term energy growth.
