The Egyptian prime minister, Mostafa Madbouli, has announced a series of presidential directives aimed at ramping up the electricity grid. This upgrade will mainly be focused on villages across the country. The government believes that the efficiency boost of electricity networks in villages is necessary to achieve its ‘Decent Life Initiative’ programme.
The minister called for monitoring of the electricity networks of villages under the initiative for future review. He started this in a meeting with the electricity minister, Mohamed Shaker.
