EKEDC Pleads With Customers on Illegal Connections and Bills

The General Manager, Corporate Communications of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Godwin Idemudia, has pleaded with customers within its operational area on the issue of illegal connections. Mr. Idemudia made this known in a statement over the weekend.

He appealed to customers to desist from carrying out illegal connections. Sikiru Adagun Magistrate Court, Ajegunle had recently arraigned one, Mr. Olanrewaju Adeleke who was accused of illegally reconnecting, Power & Life Christian Mission church in Amukoko. The court also ordered the immediate arrest of the Pastor of the said church for benefiting from an illegal connection.

Speaking further on the issue of payment of bills. Mr. Idemudia pleaded with customers to pay their bills in a timely manner and also, to report any case of bribery involving EKEDC staff. “We plead with our customers to pay their bills on time to avoid the embarrassment of disconnection which may lead to being tempted to engage in illegal connection”, he said.
