Eko Distribution Company yesterday launched its SCADA system

Eko Distribution Company (EKEDC) yesterday, commissioned its Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition-Distribution Management System (SCADA-DMS) centre. The event held at the Headquarter of the DisCo. The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the commissioning.
The Chairman Board of Directors of EKEDC, Charles Momoh, in his opening remarks acknowledged EKEDC’s commitment to the provision of reliable and stable electricity to the consumers. He assured the newly commissioned SCADA-DMS will accelerate the provision of world-class services in line with global standards.
Speaking at the event, the technical partner for the project, Dr. Walter Olatunde of Tech Systems Limited, said, “We consider it a privilege and opportunity to partner with Eko Electricity in considering technology as the path to a reliable and efficient customer satisfaction and we are happy to be a partner with EKEDC in moving to the next level as the most advanced and technologically in-tune distribution company in Nigeria”.
Speaking at the event, Adeoye Fadeyibi (MD/CEO of EKEDC) stated that similar projects aimed at improving the DisCos performance are on the way. He further assured the guests of EKEDC’s commitment to providing reliable and stable electricity to its customers.
