Regional electric utility El Paso Electric (EPE) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to construct a 10MW solar park with a 3MW battery in Texas.
Through this RFP for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, the utility seeks to expand its existing and fully-subscribed community solar programme in Texas for the second time. All interested parties should submit a Letter of Intent no later than February 22nd, while proposals under the RFP are due by April 4th, 2022. EPE noted that preference would be given to proposals sited in Texas.
The utility serves about 450,000 retail and wholesale customers in an area of the Rio Grande valley in west Texas and southern New Mexico.
