Empower New Energy has been awarded a $2 million contract to provide solar photovoltaic panels to produce electricity at four Zalar Holding poultry factories.
The project is being developed with JET Energy, a seasoned Moroccan renewable energy company. The project plans to generate 3800MWh per year. This will allow the Moroccan organisation to reduce CO2 emissions by around 3000 tons per year.
“We are thrilled to work with Zalar and JET Energy to showcase how solar energy investments for enterprises can play a vital role in Morocco’s green energy transition,” said Empower CEO Terje Osmundsen.
