Enel Green Power has announced the commencement of construction works for a 300MW wind park in Oklahoma. According to a report by Renewables Now, the company noted that the plant is expected to begin commercial operation by the end of the year.
The wind park will consist of 107 turbines capable of producing more than 1.3TWh of electricity per year, enough to power over 120,000 US households annually.
The company also announced it would open a new centre in Oklahoma City focused on wind turbine technician training. Overall, EGP has a combined capacity of 7.6GW of solar, wind and geothermal power.
