Mohamed Shaker, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, urged for a surge in united Arab action in the energy sector to take advantage of opportunities and handle tremendous obstacles.
Shaker told the 14th meeting of the Arab Ministerial Council for Power that the world is in the midst of a major energy revolution resulting from numerous global challenges that necessitate a shift in the way electricity is produced and consumed. He emphasised recent efforts to put the ambitious energy initiative into action to establish an Arab unified market for power.
According to him, the world is increasingly turning to diversify energy sources, particularly renewable energy sources. A contract has been signed with an international consulting firm collaborating with the German government to develop an Arab strategy and roadmap for utilising green hydrogen.
