  • Training promotes the adoption of renewable energy and economic empowerment in Ibadan.

EnergyPro renewable energy training is transforming lives in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, by equipping residents with practical skills in solar panel installation and power bank construction. The initiative demonstrates the firm’s commitment to promoting renewable energy across Nigeria while empowering communities economically.

In collaboration with Polska Fundacja dla Afryki, EnergyPro conducted workshops designed to provide hands-on knowledge and skills. Participants learned not only technical aspects but also safety standards essential for solar energy projects. Consequently, the training ensures that beneficiaries can deliver services safely and efficiently.

Speaking at the opening of EnergyPro’s new office in Ibadan, Co-founder Akinmolayan Peter explained that the event was designed to give back to society. He emphasised, “Solving problems and empowering people are the best ways to live in peace.” Therefore, the training combines social responsibility with economic empowerment.

Peter urged Nigerians to adopt solar energy as it represents the future of national economic development. He noted that the country’s economy would stagnate without a consistent power supply. Hence, renewable energy becomes both a solution and a business opportunity.

Prof. Raphael Afonja, a former Oyo State commissioner, emphasised the importance of stable electricity for development. He encouraged beneficiaries to apply their new skills competitively in the labour market. Similarly, Prince Abiodun Adeyemi praised EnergyPro, stating that access to reliable power is crucial for national growth.

Beneficiaries reported that the training added real value to their lives. They noted that electricity is essential for homes and businesses, and power outages continue to be a major challenge across Nigeria. Therefore, practical skills in renewable energy equip them to address these issues.

EnergyPro continues to lead efforts in renewable energy education and empowerment. By focusing on solar technology and related skills, the firm provides sustainable opportunities for local communities. This initiative aligns with broader goals of economic development and energy accessibility.
