Enfinity Global Inc., a leading U.S.-based renewables developer and operator, has secured a $164 million (EUR 151.6 million) financing deal to support Japan’s 250 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) assets.

The company obtained the funding through a strategic partnership with Macquarie Capital, the investment division of Macquarie Group, and a syndicate led by Shinhan Asset Management. This significant financial collaboration underscores the growing confidence in renewable energy investments in Japan and highlights Enfinity Global’s expanding footprint in the Asian market.

The portfolio, valued at over $1 billion, includes seven operational utility-scale solar plants and one project currently under construction. Once fully operational, these assets will generate over 300 GWh of power annually, providing clean energy to approximately 60,000 Japanese households. This substantial contribution to Japan’s renewable energy capacity aligns with the nation’s goals to reduce carbon emissions and increase the share of renewables in its energy mix.

Enfinity Global’s portfolio now totals 24.1 GW of renewable energy and storage assets, encompassing plants in operation, under construction, and in various stages of development.
