Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has warned its customers of fraudulent individuals presenting as EEDC staff. The Head Corporate Communications, Mr. Emeka Ezeh has said individuals have been going around asking customers to pay money into private accounts. He further said,” EEDC will never encourage customers to make payment for its services into a personal bank account”.
Mr. Ezeh urged consumers to be vigilant and to report any suspected fraudulent activity or person to the appropriate authority. He also pleaded with consumers to seek clarification first from EEDC consumer channels on the “24/7 call centre on 084700100; WhatsApp/SMS on 08150826060 & 08150826061 and e-mail on customerservice@enugudisco.com”.
