Equinor laid the cornerstone for the operational base of the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 offshore wind farms in Poland’s Baltic town of Leba.

Polish contractor Erbud is building the operations and maintenance (O&M) base on the site of a former shipyard. The base will house a monitoring centre, a spare parts warehouse, office space, and a quay for mooring vessels. Equinor plans to commission the facility by mid-2026.
The Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 wind farms are located between 22 km and 37 km off the coast. They aim to generate electricity by 2027 and have full operations scheduled for 2028. The developers have secured all necessary building permits and hired key contractors to move the projects forward.
Equinor Polska will manage the wind farms under a 30-year operations and maintenance agreement with Polenergia. This deal ensures that once operational, the facilities will receive long-term oversight.
Equinor and Polenergia are also working on the Baltic 1 offshore wind farm, which will have a capacity of 1.56 GW and sit about 81 km off the Baltic Sea coast.
