- ERERA to finalise dispute resolution rules and procedures
The ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA) has called on members of its Consultative Committee to finalize the draft Dispute Settlement Rules and Procedures for the regional electricity market. Chairman of ERERA, Professor Honoré Bogler, made the call during the meeting of the Joint committees.
Bogler stated that the Dispute Settlement Rules and Procedures are critical to the operations of the regional electricity market. He noted that the success of the market depends on the ”….quality and the consensual character of the rules that we would have adopted,”
When adopted by member countries, the Dispute Settlement Rules and Procedures alongside other market rules and procedures will ensure the readiness of ERERA for the next phase of the regional electricity market and ensure a successful operationalization of the regional electricity market.
