EVE Energy, CommVOLT Partner to Boost Energy Storage in UK

  • EVE Energy and CommVOLT signed a 500MWh strategic cooperation agreement to scale commercial and industrial energy storage systems.
  • EVE Energy showcased its 628Ah “Mr.Big” cells and 5MWh “Mr.Giant” system, which are already deployed in a 400MWh project and shipped to Australia and Europe.

EVE Energy signed a 500MWh strategic cooperation agreement with CommVOLT Sp. z o.o. during Solar & Storage Live UK 2025. The deal targets commercial and industrial energy storage systems (ESS) on the grid and behind the meter. The partnership focuses on building reference projects in Central and Eastern Europe to enhance grid stability and increase renewable energy integration.

The agreement covers 500MWh of storage capacity supply. CommVOLT, a Polish innovator of smart photovoltaic systems, will collaborate with EVE Energy to align products with market needs, strengthen grid flexibility, and accelerate execution of regional projects.

EVE Energy highlighted its latest innovations, including the 628Ah “Mr.Big” storage cell and the 5MWh direct current (DC) “Mr.Giant” system, which integrates these cells. In September, EVE also deployed the “Mr.Giant” in a standalone 400MWh project, with shipments already heading to Australia and Europe.

Furthermore, the company emphasised that the “Mr.Big” cells optimise system integration, reduce heat generation, and simplify design for greater reliability and lower life-cycle costs (LCOS). Its modular technology platforms target ESS solutions for utilities, commercial and industrial facilities, telecommunications, and residential use, addressing energy security, cost reduction and efficiency.

EVE Energy framed the cooperation with CommVOLT as a significant step in scaling Europe’s commercial and industrial ESS market, which is seeing growing demand as renewables expand their share in the energy mix.
