The FG has begun the training of host communities for the Mambilla project

The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman has officially flagged off the training program for host communities of the Mambilla Power Project. The Youths Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Training (YESAT) a part of the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project (MHEPP) local content initiative has, begun the training of at least 500 individuals.
At the flag-off ceremony in Yola, the Minister stated that, the initiative will address capacity development for host communities and will benefit the communities in terms of maximising the full potential of the project. He added that the selection process will be done online and applications will run for three weeks. The first batch of training will take place in January 2021.
The Chairman of the Host Community Development Association (HCDA), Mr Bobboi Kaigama, assured the Minister of the cooperation of the host communities involved in the project,
