The Federal Government and the organized labour Technical Committees on fuel price and electricity tariff have scheduled 22nd February to reconvene. The Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige said, the Technical Committee on fuel price had submitted its report to the Committee while the Technical Committee on electricity tariff has not concluded its report.
Speaking to journalists, Ngige said, “It is a technical report, so they needed further investigation of the report by their own technical research team. The Technical Committee on electricity tariff has not finished. We expect the report in a week’s time. So, cogently, we are reconvening on 22nd of this month to take both reports”.
The Federal Government set up the Technical Committees to dialogue with Organized Labour following the recent increases in fuel price and electricity tariff.
