Fintel Energija Picks Windey for Serbian Projects

  • Renewable energy producer Fintel Energija A.D. has selected Chinese manufacturer Windey as the turbine supplier for 110 MW of wind farms under construction in Serbia.
  • The agreement includes the supply and installation of 19 WD164 3.6 MW turbines, three WD164 3.3 MW turbines, and six WD172 5.0 MW turbines, as well as a 10-year service and maintenance agreement for the wind farms once the units are installed.

Renewable energy producer Fintel Energija A.D. has selected Chinese manufacturer Windey as the turbine supplier for 110 MW of wind farms under construction in Serbia. Zhejiang Windey has been selected as the preferred turbine supplier for the Košava 2, Kula 2, Kula 3, Kula 4 and Ram projects. The agreement includes the supply of 28 wind turbines and a 10-year service and maintenance agreement, Fintel Energija said.

Fintel Energija in Serbia operates wind farms Kula (9.9 MW), La Piccolina (6.6 MW), and Košava 1 (69 MW). In May last year, the firm started the construction of Kula 2. According to Fintel Energija, as a further step in the construction of the wind farms, its project companies have entered into a conditional agreement with Windey. The agreement includes the supply and installation of 19 WD164 3.6 MW turbines, three WD164 3.3 MW turbines, and six WD172 5.0 MW turbines, as well as a 10-year service and maintenance agreement for the wind farms once the units are installed.
