- FRV to build a 327 MWp solar park project in Brazil.
- The facility is anticipated to produce about 745 GWh annually.
A preliminary environmental permit has been given to Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a sustainable energy firm based in Madrid, to build a 327 MWp solar park project in Brazil.
In Ceara, northeastern Brazil, the company intends to construct the Complexo Fotovoltaico Banabuiu solar farm over a 648-hectare area (1,601 acres). The facility is anticipated to produce about 745 GWh annually, sufficient to power up to about 407,900 local dwellings.
According to the developer, the Banabuiu project would reduce CO2 emissions by over 93,700 tonnes once operational and generate over 300 local jobs during development.
