- Generator sales are on the increase in China as the energy crisis continues
- Electricity shortages have forced regions to implement power cuts
- Several regions have ordered an increase in coal mining
As China’s energy crisis continues, generator sales have continued to increase as several businesses are increasingly seeking alternative sources of electricity. In addition, due to energy shortages, several regions have implemented emergency policies asking factories to shut down production for a few days weekly and ensure energy-efficient practices to reduce consumption.
”We had a lot of orders coming from southern provinces such as Jiangsu and Guangdong,” The Manager of Weifang Yuxing Power Company in Shandong province said. ”I have to tell my clients that it might take 15 to 20 days to deliver a generator, and we also have to wait for key parts to arrive.” The Manager also confirmed selling out on generators following several orders placed in September.
The Chair of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in South China, Klaus Zenkel, stated that its members in the manufacturing sector now rely on generators to operate. ”They need to help themselves, but diesel is not good for the environment, and it will increase emissions,” Zenkel said.
To increase capacity, several regions have ordered an increase in coal mining to meet electricity demands.
