German energy company EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG has begun the construction of a 21MW wind park in North Rhine-Westphalia. The project is expected to commence operations by December 2022.
Road construction and laying of cables for the wind project started in the municipality region of Steinheim in North Rhine-Westphalia at the beginning of April. This development is expected to be followed by works on the foundations, starting from May to June.
The wind farm will contain 5 Vestas V 150 turbines; each will output energy of 4.2MW and a hub height of 166m (181.5 yds). The machine will be delivered and built starting in August. Upon full operational commencement, the site will boast the capacity of delivering the energy demands of about 14,000 households with clean energy. EnBW will be in charge of the technical management of the wind farm.
