- Energiekontor advances in earnings and revenues
- Solar Equipment sales increase in multiple folds
Energiekontor, a german renewables developer and operator, has revealed a boost in its earnings and revenues in 2021. This is a considerable achievement for the company despite the adversity that came in the year. Furthermore, the company has stated that it expects the same trend in 2022 despite increasing uncertainties.
The company made a 6.7% growth in sales, and the operating performance leapt by 61% in 2021. This growth made came as a result of favourable outputs in the country’s project development and sales department section. As a result, there was an increment in deals signed for the sales of wind and solar projects in Germany. The new figure now stands at 117 MW, up from the former 44 MW recorded in 2020. Part of the advancements made was installing five wind and solar parks with a combined output of 66 MW. Moreso, the company has progressed its solar and wind power generation capacity to an improved 330 MW.
The robust performance has neutralised the dissenting effects of Germany’s usually weak wind supply and some other markets. Higher repair costs and lower-price post-EEG power purchase agreements (PPAs) burdened the company’s results in the first half.
Energiekontor is optimistic that the growth trend will continue despite uncertainties and risks that continue to belabour the market. The Russia-Ukraine war has also impacted the company’s activities, with a steadily increasing price of raw materials. This has led to increased wind turbines, solar modules and other components by equipment manufacturers. In light of this, the company has expressed an expected delay in project commissions that were slated for the end of the year due to the difficulties that are currently present in the global supply chain.
