- 12 communities in Tano North to be connected to the national grid
- Communities to be connected by December 2021
12 communities in Tano North Municipality will be connected to the Ghanaian national grid by December 2021. The Minister of State of Works and Housing, Dr Freda Prempeh, made this known during a visit to the communities.
Prempeh stated that procurement for 12 transformers was ongoing, and communities to benefit from this procurement include; Asantesua, Domeabra, Adagyenim, Mamponteng, Agona, Tano-Ano, Atudrobese, Asude, Koope, Rube and Beposo communities. She added that the connection to the national grid was in line with President Nana Akufo-Addo’s commitment to improving electricity access in rural areas.
