ECG begins installation of 400 transformers
- Transformers to help improve services in the area
- Volta and Oti regions to benefit from the installations
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has begun the installation of 400 transformers in the Volta and Oti regions of the country. The installations will help the ECG augment existing network infrastructure for an improvement in service delivery to the area. The Regional Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Lumor noting the reduction in power cuts has said, ECG is working to improve economic growth in the region.
”We are hoping to, by the end of the year, have major challenges solved to enhance livelihoods and economic growth. We are identifying gaps in service delivery and we are working round the clock to address them”, Lumor said.
Officials of the ECG were on the ground at the Ho central market to sensitise the market community on the procedures for meter procurement, prevention of electricity-related mishaps, and energy efficiency.
