The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a scheduled power cut for some areas in the country’s capital, Accra. The power cut will enable the ECG to carry out maintenance works on its network.

In a statement issued by the state-owned utility, ”the ECG will undertake planned maintenance works to improve service delivery”. The power cuts are scheduled to occur on ”August 16th, 2021, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm,” the statement read. The affected areas in Accra include Tsaedo, New England Adjirigano, Airport Hills, Martey Tsuru, and Trantra Hills.

ECG regrets any inconvenience the power cuts will have on its customers.
