- GRIDCo and ECG release joint statement
- Assure Ghanaians of speedy completion of maintenance works
- Promises improved supply at the completion of works
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) have in a joint statement, promised to complete maintenance works in the Greater Accra Region, Central and Ashanti Regions in record time.
The maintenance works according to the companies will ensure an improvement in the electricity supply for the affected regions. “These are all aimed at boosting the efficiency of the value chain in order for customers to enjoy quality, reliable and stable power supply” the statement said.
The statement gave updates on the Pokuase and Kasoa Bulk Supply Point (BSP) projects. The Pokuase project is expected to be completed by the first half of 2021 and the Kasoa BSP project will be also be completed in August this year. Both projects will benefit over 350,000 households and help improve reliability and supply quality to the affected regions.
Ghana began the implementation of planned outages on 10th May 2021 and will end on 18th May, 20211.
