- Poultry farmer accused of illegal connection in Ada West district
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has begun investigations into the illegal connection of a poultry farm in Ada West District, Tema region, to its electricity network. The General Manager, Tema Regional Office, Mr Emmanuel Akinie, stated that the farm was visited by the Revenue Protection Team (RPT) when the discovery was made.
Akinie noted that the farmer had been served a Notice of Unauthorised Service Connection and asked to report at the Tema Regional Office for further action. He stated that if found guilty of illegally connecting to the ECG network, the culprit would be sanctioned and charged for the electricity consumed illegally.
