Goodenough Energy will build India’s largest Battery Energy Storage system (BESS) Gigafactory for Grid stability with an Initial capacity of 7GWh.

The battery factory will have a 20 GWH capacity by 2026, and the Gigafactory will produce advanced battery energy storage systems, empowering various industries to reduce carbon emissions.

GoodEnough Energy is India’s 1st and most advanced manufacturer of Battery Energy Storage Systems, offering commercial, industrial, and institutional energy backup solutions with flexibility and modularity.

The battery maker has invested over INR 450 Cr for the Gigafactory in Jammu & Kashmir. Also, the company aims to support India’s Net-Zero goal and various industries with high CO2 emissions, including Molding Industries (Plastic, etc.), automation, mining, hospitals, refineries, Malls and shopping complexes, etc., with its 7GWH of annual storage, leading to the reduction of over 5 Million tonnes of CO2 emission in a year.

Likewise, Akash Kaushik, Founder of GoodEnough Energy, said, “The electricity industry is undergoing significant change, with a growing need for clean, reliable, and affordable power. Our revolutionary energy storage systems are proudly made in Bharat and aim to empower high CO2 emission industries to achieve their green targets.”

He added that with its capacity expansion, the company aims to reduce a whopping 15 million tonnes of CO2 emissions by 2026 through the gigafactory.

The company also addresses the escalating power demand for EV fast charging stations, particularly in areas with weak grid infrastructure, through its vast BESS offerings.

The company’s BESS technologies enable fast charging, incorporating smart functionalities such as time shifting and peak shaving. Users can store energy during off-peak hours to reduce costs and minimise demand charges. This solution seamlessly integrates solar energy, further enhancing its efficiency and sustainability.
