Greenpeg, a top provider of industrial automation and safety solutions in West Africa, has launched the region’s largest Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) Hub. The new facility in Lagos, Nigeria, will reduce reliance on foreign expertise and strengthen local skills.
The ceremony, which took place in Lagos, was attended by key industry and government leaders. Femi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, represented the Governor at the event. Honourable Olatubosun Alake, Commissioner of Innovation, Science, and Technology, joined executives from Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Pepperl+Fuchs to celebrate this milestone.
Africa’s industrial sector has depended on foreign experts for critical systems like ICSS for years, leading to high costs and delays. Greenpeg’s new hub will change this by offering local design, installation, and maintenance of control panels, switchgear, and safety systems. This will help businesses save money and improve efficiency.
At the event, Femi Hamzat said, “This initiative marks a pivotal moment for industrial development in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.”
The ICSS Hub is a multi-million dollar investment and a significant step for Africa’s industrial future. It will also provide training opportunities for professionals, helping to develop local expertise.
Greenpeg’s CEO stated, “The ICSS Hub will serve as a cornerstone for technological advancement and skills development in the region.”
The launch event attracted many industry leaders, including Pepperl+Fuchs, Schneider Electric, CFG, Siemens, and Grundfos executives. Their presence highlighted the importance of this achievement.
Greenpeg continues to lead in industrial automation and safety solutions across West Africa. The company remains committed to innovation, skills development, and technology transfer, ensuring a stronger future for the region.
