French clean energy company, GreenYellow is set to install a 1.56MWp solar power plant for Senico in its facilities in Diamniadio, 30km near Dakar. Senico manufactures and markets agri-food products.
Otmane Hajji, president of GreenYellow, noted that the company is proud to support Senico in its ecological transition by providing it with environmentally friendly energy solutions that will enable it to produce and consume green electricity thanks to the largest self-consumption solar photovoltaic plant in Senegal.
The project will increase GreenYellow’s African Portfolio as the company currently operates in several countries, including the 20MWp Ambatolampy solar power plant in Madagascar. However, the plant is set to be increased to 40 MWp.
In Burkina Faso, GreenYellow is also developing the Nagréongo solar project in the Plateau-Central region. The plant will supply 30 MWp into the state grid.
