Spanish clean energy company Grenergy Renovables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply about 200GWh of solar energy annually to an offtaker (an electricity generator, marketer and distributor) on the Iberian Peninsula. Grenergy stated that its 150MWp Belinchon solar PV project in Cuenca, Spain, will generate the energy.
The Belinchon solar farm, which is expected to begin commercial operations in 2022, will generate 315GWh yearly. The 12-year PPA will come into effect in March 2023. Grenergy has set its sights on achieving 1.5GW of clean energy by 2022. However, the company acknowledges that it currently has a portfolio of 1.5GW of projects in several development stages.
