- Heliene Inc. partners with UGE in a multi-year module supply agreement.
- The deal involves US-made solar PV modules with US-made cells.
Heliene Inc., a North American solar manufacturer, has partnered with UGE, a solar developer, in a multi-year module supply agreement. The deal includes US-made solar PV modules with US-made cells, qualifying UGE’s projects for the Domestic Content Investment Tax Credit Bonus.
This incentive and other Investment Tax credit bonuses will significantly impact project economics. UGE aims to qualify for the Domestic Content Tax Credit on projects starting construction this summer.
The partnership also reduces UGE’s supply chain risk. As a long-term client of Heliene, UGE will now receive US-made modules with US-made cells.
However, the companies did not disclose specific volumes related to the agreement. Heliene collaborated with Suniva in March to produce US domestic content-eligible PV modules.
